Pay Attention To Your Feelings

My 5-year-old nephew recently visited, and it didn't take long for me to realize he was absolutely terrified to go into any room alone.

When I asked him why, I was surprised by the reason.

He had started playing this new game at daycare. It's basically hide-and-go-seek, but you have to hide really well because if not, scary "Grammy" will get you.  

Unfortunately, his imagination is so vivid, that he now thinks "Grammy" will get him wherever he goes.

It didn't matter how many time we told him she wasn't real, it was just a game, etc. He was convinced that "Grammy" was alive & was waiting to snatch him up.

It dawned on me that you and I are probably operating in a similar manner. 

You might not be paralyzed by "Grammy," but are you hanging on to a fear that is stopping you from going after what you want?

Maybe you want to work out but are scared of the gym.

Maybe it's a new career you want to start but worry you're "too old" to go back to school.

Maybe it's simply wearing a new outfit that is out of your comfort zone.

Mine was being visible, putting myself out there and starting this blog.

I've wanted to do this for years and just recently worked up the nerve to start - and keep going.

It's so important to pay attention to how you're feeling.

The Law Of Attraction works based on feelings.

How you feel determines what is heading your way. 

If you're scared that you're going to look frumpy in that new outfit, guess what's going to happen? All you're going to see is frumpiness when you look in the mirror.

(I'm not sure if frumpiness is a word but it is today!)

So, how do you let go of the fear? 

Well, for my nephew, I mixed up a potion that turned "scary Grammy" into "nice Grammy."

One drop of Vitamin D with a drop of blue food colouring in a container that he carries around with him. 

You could try that.

Or, when your fear bubbles up to the surface, gently remind yourself that it's not real. 

It is your imagination taking over.

I'm curious - is there a fear you can commit to letting go of today? Something that is no longer serving you?

Let go of the fear so you can make space for your desire to manifest itself. 

I am committing to putting myself out there - time & time again, regardless of how dumb I feel.
